The origin and growth of Maxaro

In 2004, the foundation for the current Maxaro was laid. We started with the sale of whirlpools and steam cabins under the name Whirlpool-outlet. In 2008, the product group bathroom furniture was added to the assortment. 2012 is the year that the organisation undergoes a major change. Sanitairtotaal is a fact, with a collection that includes shower cabins, toilets, bathroom furniture, washbasins, mirrors, and freestanding baths. At the same time as this name change, a webshop is launched. The showroom is already 2,000 m² in size.

The plans for a new location emerged in 2014, when Sanitairtotaal became too large for the location in Oud Gastel. In addition to these plans, the assortment was further expanded with tiles in 2015. In 2016, it finally happened: a new branch in the old Keller factory in Roosendaal. A site of 40,000 m², with over 5,000 m² showroom and 30,000 m² warehouse.

In the meantime, Maxaro has not been idle. 2020 is the year in which a second showroom was opened in The Wall in Utrecht. Subsequently, we opened our doors a year later in Rotterdam and in Hoofddorp. In 2022, Maxaro expanded with a new showroom in the Antwerp region. This way, we can also better serve our Belgian customers with our wide range at a fair price. In 2024, our showroom near Eindhoven, at Meubelplein Ekkersrijt in Son en Breugel, was added. The most recent showroom was established in 2025 at Winkelpark De Centrale in Leeuwarden, in order to serve our customers in the north as well.
