Thin floor tiles look elegant and graceful

Floor tiles come in different colours, sizes, patterns and thicknesses. In this blog, we will take you through the world of thin floor tiles and their benefits.

Vloertegels zijn er in verschillende kleuren, afmetingen, patronen en diktes. De standaard dikte voor een tegel is 10 millimeter. Op zich is een standaard dikte heel handig, want dat betekent dat je volop kunt combineren. Mix vloertegels met verschillende lengte- en breedtematen naar hartenlust met elkaar. Het enige waar je dan op hoeft te letten is de dikte. Anders krijg je onbedoeld hoge en lage gedeeltes in je badkamervloer. 

Decor dunne tegels 

Toch zijn er ook wel dunne tegels te koop. Neem de prachtige geometrische multicolor decortegels van Maxaro. Met een dikte van 6 millimeter kun je dat met recht een dunne vloertegel noemen. Ook sommige wandtegels kunnen dat predicaat krijgen. Zo zijn er onder andere dunne wandtegels die maar 8 millimeter meten. Vloerverwarming is heel goed mogelijk onder dunne vloertegels. De warmte komt er nog gemakkelijker doorheen en dat geeft optimaal comfort. 

Beautifully thin

Thin floor tiles are very suitable when renovating abathroom. Do you still have floor tiles from the previous occupants that are not to your taste? Or are you fed up with your old floor tiles? Then thin floor tiles can be the solution. These make it possible to leave the old layer intact and simply tile over it. These thin tiles also mean that doors do not have to be cut to size, which saves on renovation costs.

By the way, sometimes thin floor tiles are slightly more expensive than thick tiles. This is because, of course, they need to be as strong as thick tiles. They are therefore made in a different way; the whole process is a bit more labour-intensive. Bearing in mind that thin tiles can be laid over the old layer, which therefore does not need to be removed, you will probably still be cheaper all in all.

Mixing thin tiles
