Tile adhesive Basic Powder Adhesive 20 kg

The Foby+ Flexcement is a powder tile adhesive and, after the addition of water, becomes a ready-to-use thin-bed mortar. The adhesive is suitable for bonding floor tiles indoors on dimensionally stable substrates and can be used in dry and wet areas. The consumption is on average 2 to 5 kg per m².

Absorbent and non-absorbent substrates
Highly absorbent substrates must always be primed with a primer for absorbent substrates. Smooth and non-absorbent substrates, such as existing tiling, should be degreased and primed with a tile-over-tile primer beforehand. For a non-absorbent substrate, the tile must have an absorbent edge.

Application area of powder adhesive
The powder adhesive is excellent for bonding ceramic wall and floor tiles, mosaics, and stone strips. Additionally, the adhesive is suitable for various types of natural stone on stone and gypsum-like substrates, with the exception of anhydrite floors. Furthermore, its use is recommended on dimensionally stable or lightweight substrates. The adhesive also works well in combination with underfloor heating systems.

Application of adhesive
Apply the powder adhesive with a suitable notched trowel. Choose an appropriate notch size that ensures a contact surface of at least 80% between the back of the tile and the adhesive. For heavily loaded tiling, thin tiles, or tiles larger than 40x40 cm, a contact surface of 100% is required, and you should apply the buttering or floating method. For an optimal end result, use our tile clips and wedges.
